Hi I'm Ronda

I am a mother, a wife, a CPA, and a member of the most wonderful group for women there is - the Relief Society. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised by wonderful parents sealed in the Holy Temple. One of six children; we were taught the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ from birth. I could hardly wait to find a RM (returned missionary) to take me to the temple to be sealed for time and all eternity and start a family. Oh, how I wanted to be a mommy! Now with 3 beautiful children of my own, I can feel God's love for me as I look at each of my children. The spirits they brought with them are amazing - and well equiped to deal with the trials of this life. All I can imagine for them is being realized as they grow and mature in the gospel. My oldest daughter is serving a mission in Missouri. My son will soon serve his mission in Kenya. And not to be outdone, my youngest has set her sights on being a missionary when she turns 21. Somehow, through the trials of life (getting married young, starting a family while my husband finished his trade school, returning to school as a mother of three young children, and returning to the workforce as a professional later in life) we have held strong as a family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love the plan of happiness that has been laid out in the scriptures. I love hearing the word of God through our living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, his counselors, and the Quorum of the Twelve. I love that I can serve Him while serving those in my family, my congregation, my neighborhood, and my community. I love that we have scriptures from the prophets of old to help us avoid the pitfalls of others who denied Christ. The scriptures and living prophets give us guidance to help us return to our Father in Heaven. I love that we are taught about the atonement of Jesus Christ, His immesuable and unconditional love for each of His brothers and sisters, and His willingness to die so that ALL may live. I am a Mormon because it will help me return to live with my Father in Heaven and my family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

Each day, one trial, one sucess at a time. When I test my faith, the answer is always the same. God is there. God is real. God knows me personally and loves me. He wants me to be happy! He wants me to be obident so that I can return to His presence. He has given me the map and the tools - I just need to follow his commandments and hold to the iron rod so that I can return to Him. I draw on my family, my extended family, and my ward family to strengthen me as well. Meeting and worshiping together provides a strengthening renewal of faith each and every Sunday. Sharing testimonies, experiences, and lessons, I am refueled for the week ahead.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

In the scriptures, we have been instructed to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all. It is our privilege to do so. We want everyone to hear the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We hope that all His children will learn of Him and learn how to return to Him. Charity, the pure love of Christ, is an essential element when we serve. As we serve with charity, we hope that those we love and serve will feel the spirit testify of God's love for them. When I share the Gospel, it strengthens my testimony, increases my love towards others, and brings peace and joy to my soul. I am happily supporting my two children as they devote their time, talents, and energy to the Lord on full-time missions. Show more Show less
