Hi I'm Christy

I'm a nurse, a world traveler, a wife, and a soon-to-be mamma! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated college with my nursing degree. I am passionate about nursing and love interacting with different people every day. I am married and expecting my first baby! I can't wait to be a mom! Amidst it all, I constantly long to travel and see the world. I love dancing around the house when no one is home and I love creating my own recipes . . . which isn't always a good thing. I love laughing and making up funny little songs. Life is tough, but the little moments of fun make it all worth while!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this faith and have always been taught to believe in our Savior Jesus Christ. When I left home to attend college, I realized I had to decide for myself if this church was worth my time and energy. As I attended church, sometimes while all my roommates slept in on Sunday morning, I gained a strong understanding of the great goodness and love of the Lord. A strong faith grew in my heart as I read the Book of Mormon and followed the teachings of the gospel. I'm a Mormon because it's a lifestyle that provides peace, comfort, and joy. God wants us to return to him and I know that my choices here and now are very important in enabling me to do so. He wants us to be happy, to enjoy life, and to have peace in our hearts. That's not always so easy these days, but it's possible. Through living the teaching of this church, I am truly happy!

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is more of a lifestyle than just a nice Sunday worship service. It takes over who we are and how we act. It entails who I will become and how I will get there. But, the greatest part about living my faith is that it's all up to me! Living my faith means reading scriptures and praying daily for strength and guidance from the Lord for the things that I need most that day. It means getting a good education where I can become a strong, independent woman as well as a successful wife and mother. It means raising children who will be smart, capable, and good examples. It means serving and helping those around me whenever I get the chance. Living my faith means marrying the man I love for all our time together on earth AND forever after that. It means working hard to follow Christ's example and become a better person every day. Living my faith means attending church every Sunday to remember promises I have made with the Lord that help me return to Him. It simply means working diligently and enjoying the struggles and triumphs of everyday life! My faith is one that helps me achieve my greatest potential as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend.
