Hi I'm Joleen

I'm a mother of 5 kids. All 9 and under. I'm a wife. A friend. A daughter. A neighbor. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am in my early 30s. I have 5 kids 9 and under. 4 girls and 1 boy including identical twins. My husband works full time & goes to school full time. I like to make my own greeting cards, and I enjoy crafting when I have free time which is almost never!!. My house isn't always clean. The dishes are not always washed. My windows have little finger prints and dog nose prints all over them. We have PB&J for lunch almost every day. But we are happy. We have fun together! We read stories, play in the yard, watch movies, and have picnics on the family room floor. I am a wife, a mom, a friend, a neighbor, a daughter, a sister, a niece, an aunt, a Mormon, and I am Me!!

Why I am a Mormon

My mom was taught the gospel in high school. She was baptized, but was not very active until after my sister, brother and I were born. I don't remember much of Jr Primary before I was 6, but after my parents separated we started going to church a lot more. I remember the 1st time I felt the Holy Ghost. I was 7, and I was sitting in a Testimony meeting with my family. I felt so warm inside and I was happy. That was just the beginning of my own personal testimony. Since I was baptized when I was 8, I have been active in the church and I have grown to know and love my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith restored the Gospel to the earth and that the Book of Mormon is true scripture. My husband and I were married in the temple 11 years ago and we have been blessed to live close to a temple all that time. Temple service is an important part of my life. Why am I Mormon? Because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the only true church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I go to church. I partake of the Sacrament. I teach Primary. I take meals to the sick. I watch neighbors' kids so they can go to the temple. I try to be an example to all around me. But most importantly, I teach my children truth, right from wrong, and I teach them about their Savior Jesus Christ.
