Hi I'm Jessica!

I am a CNA, a Theology Student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the church - twice-over, actually! I was baptized the first time when I was about 13 years old. For a variety of reasons I chose to have my name removed when i was 16. Literally the entire time I was an ex-Mormon, I couldn't leave the church alone. I constantly read about the history of the Church, and even occasionally went to services. When my husband and I moved to Wisconsin, I decided to get in touch with the missionaries here and get re-baptized! I'm currently a support worker for adults with dementia and/or psychiatric illnesses, but I'm also a part-time theology student. I'm early in my studies, and not quite sure what I want to do with my life just yet (at 29, I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up! ), though I've been feeling like pastoral care for the terminally ill/actively dying and their families might be where God is calling me. Thankfully, I don't have to make any decisions just yet, I can mull it over.

Why I am a Mormon

I may not be the most active person in the LDS Church, but I firmly believe that the Church has certain truths that I've found nowhere else.

How I live my faith

I am not an overly active member of the Church. Sometimes I go months without attending Church-y activities. It's not something that I'm overly proud of, but it just *is*. Whatever I'm doing, I know the Church will be there when I'm ready to return.
