Hi I'm Kjerstin Mourra

I grew up in Utah. I'm a special education teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kjerstin. I grew up in Smithfield, Utah in a wonderful family. I have always loved school and working with people. I got my degree in severe special education. I currently teach special education which takes up a good majority of my time during the fall and spring. In the summer I like to travel, especially to places where I can go hiking or biking. I love the outdoors. I married my best friend, Peter, in June of 2011.

Why I am a Mormon

I started out as a Mormon because I was born into a family of members and was very happy with my religion. As I got older I dealt with my doubts and questions on my own so that I could gain my own personal conversion. In high school I studied the gospel with great curiosity trying to find out where I fit in. I gained my own personal testimony during that search. When I was 21, I served a mission for the church in Indianapolis, Indiana and during those 18 months, my conversion grew even more. I loved being a missionary and sharing the light of the gospel with others. It was amazing to see how the gospel can change anyone who is willing to listen and ready to accept the fulness of the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making sure to do the things the Lord has asked me to do. Sometimes I slack on reading my scriptures daily, but I definitely see a difference in my life when I do. Reading and praying everyday are the ingredients to many wonderful days. And when you're missing one, it's just never the same. I love attending church, and I'm always amazed at how Sundays can brighten and enlighten my life every single week.
