Hi I'm Kristin

I'm pre-school teacher, devoted wife and mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My father was in the military and my mother was a stay-at-home mom, we lived all over the U.S., which gave my siblings and I happy memories and sharing a closeness because of all the moving. I was the only Mormon at my junior high school in Long Island, which gave me missionary opportunities to explain my beliefs. One time there was a schoolmate who came up to me and said that I was different, that I had a light around me and that I was happy. I was very close to my grandparents and enjoyed lots of family reunions and activities together. I love sports, the outdoors, physical fitness, dining out with friends and family, gardening, scrapbooking, and working with pre-school children. I got married while I was in college and we are the parents of three children and my husband and I just became grandparents!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an active Mormon home, which extends all the way back to the 1830's. As I studied about them, I felt humbled and awed by their sacrifice, love, devotion and commitment, and have often felt their presence all around me, so I wanted to honor their legacy. Even so, I had to be converted and gain my own testimony which led to a life long study of Jesus Christ and know that He is God's only Begotten Son. I love Jesus Christ, His Plan of Happiness, answers to why am I here and where am I going, His purpose and design for me. I know that He hears and answers prayers and that He cares about me and my family. Most of all, I love the teachings on eternal marriage and eternal families, and that our earthly relationships don't ever end.

How I live my faith

By looking to Jesus Christ as my example as taught in the scriptures, treating others with love, kindness, charity, love unfeigned, patience and forgiveness. I desire to be like Jesus Christ, keep His commandments, listen to His modern day prophets, and follow their teachings. I find joy in attending the temple, praying often, studying the scriptures, speaking of the love of Jesus Christ to not just my children, family and friends but strangers too. So that they know to which source to find peace, happiness and forgiveness.
