Hi I'm Rhiana

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Mother, Wife, Artist, First Grade Teacher, Love the Beach

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16 years old I met a young man that was not afraid of sharing his love for the Savior and his knowledge that Joseph Smith was a true prophet-despite the odds (he was one of only a few Mormons at our highschool, you know, one of those strange kids that went to church before school.) This young man's humble spirit and true friendship eventually led me to the waters of baptism. Two years of letters filled with scriptures and motivation continued to support my choice to convert to Mormonism, notwithstanding opposition from family and friends. After this young mans arrival home from serving the Lord we were married in the Salt Lake City Temple and have shared ten married years and a wonderful son. My husband continues to be a great example of love, service, and faith in the Savior and Heavenly Father through his dedication as a husband, father and child of God. His support has enabled my testimony to grow and I am truly grateful to my Heavenly Father for placing two awkward teenagers together, in a lunch line, where they may not have otherwise even talked to each other.

How I live my faith

I have a strong testimony of the importance of being actively involved in Church. We receive assignments, or callings, that help us to grow spiritually in the gospel. Despite being shy, my involvment in church callings has helped me to find talents and abilities that I did not know I had. I teach adults stories of the Savior from the New Testament during Sunday School. I never imagined I would do this, especially since I never had the influence of the scriptures in my life growing up. However, my Heavenly Father knows my abilties and listens to my prayers as I seek guidance to be able to impart the Saviors life and teachings to others. With this faith, my knowledge and understanding of the scriptures has grown tremendously and has carried through to my role as a mother. I know that teaching my son these important spiritual principles will help him as he grows and is exposed to different experiences in life. I pray that my example of faith will stay with him as he tracks his path in life.
