I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been blessed with a beautiful wife and seven wonderful children. They are my entire world. I was born and raised in Vermont. I love to play golf but am not to good at it. My free time is usually consumed by my very active children. But between games or seasons we still manage to enjoy family time. I am always trying to better the quality of life for myself and my family, and continue to persue a college education.

Why I am a Mormon

Let me start off by saying. I am a christian!! My parents and siblings are not members of my faith but I believe my mother's example is the reason I have chosen this church. Whatever life threw at us my mother made sure that my siblings and I always attended church services. I have been to many different congregations but Christ has always been the center of my faith. I had many strong spiritual influences that have contributed to who I have become. I became a "born again" christian when I was twelve and served a month long mission in Nicaragua with Teen Mania Ministries at thirteen. This time of my life ignited the fire within my heart and I have always craved more. One thing I could never wrap my head around was the family and the bond between husband and wife that came to an abrupt halt upon the conclusion of our existence on this earth. This was always a "grey" area when questioning spiritual leaders throughout my life. The main reason that I am a Mormon is because of the opportunity to have an eternal family. I always asked myself this question. " If God our Heavely Father loves us so much, why would he want to seperate us from the greatest gift of all.....our family?" I love this gospel and the people in it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings whenever possible. I have been blessed by serving in a few different ways within my church, but I can say that I have always served the children. I have been a cub scout leader, primary teacher, and am currently teaching the teenagers in Sunday School! I belive that the Lord alows us to serve where we need the most help spiritually. For me this has always been the basics. I did not grow up in the church and still have alot to learn. I do my best to be the best example I can to my family first and then to people in my church and community. This has not always been easy, and there are still many things that I struggle with personally. But we all have trials and tribulations. The important thing to know is that our Heavenly Father meets us where we are and provides structure and support for us to succeed. He has provided a savior in Jesus Christ to atone for our sins.
