Hi I'm Russell

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Russ. I am a husband, a father of five boys and a grandfather of eleven. I love to work, serve others, spend time in my yard, read (mostly biography's) and drive anywhere with my wife. Short trips, long trips, it doesn't matter as long as I am with her. When my first wife of 19 years was diagnosed with cancer it was a challenging time as we watched her life slip away. It was my faith in a kind and loving Heavenly Father and my knowledge of our purpose of life and that families can be together eternally that helped me through that trying time. It was also through His love for me and my boys that i met and married a special woman who became a mother to my sons and a loving grandmother to all of our grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

Although I was raised a mormon, I came to know for myself of the truth of its doctrine as I studied and prayed and received a witness as promised to those who earnestly seek it. The bible teaches us that if any man will do His will he will know of the doctrine whether it be of God. I know that by living the doctrines we come to know they are from God because the fruits are sweet and delicious. Jesus Christ suffered and died for my sins, sorrows, pains and sicknesses and without that Atonement allowing for repentance and cleansing, life would be for naught. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints is his Church on the earth today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading from the scriptures each day, praying both morning and night, being honest in my business dealings. I try to be kind to everyone and look for opportunities to help someone each day. I share what I know to be true when given the opportunity and have had the opportunity to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ when accepted by baptism change the lives of everyone who receives it.
