Hi I'm Benjamin

Raised in British Columbia and just finished serving a full-time mission.

About Me

I was born in the church and have kept myself active in it. I recently came back from my mission in California Anaheim. Prior to my mission I played a lot of video games, watching Japanese anime, attending anime conventions and reading books. I also began to play the electric bass guitar. Now that I've returned I have realized I have noticed I missed a lot on the beauty that is nature.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young I was more than determined to be a full-time missionary. As I prepared for it I decided I should read the scriptures to know what was in them. I read in The Book of Mormon and felt a connection with the people who wrote in it. When I finished reading The Book of Mormon, I applied the promise found within the book and asked our Heavenly Father in prayer to know if the book was truly His word. As I knelt to pray I felt something powerful within me, as I began to pronounce the questions of my soul, I felt strongly within me that The Book of Mormon was 100% the word of God. That all within it was true. As I've lived the best that I could to follow God, I have seen many blessings and have learned of my own experience that God is a God of order and unchanging. I know without a doubt Jesus Christ's one and only church is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I serve in the local congregation as the leader of the missionary work in the area. This means I work closely with the full-time missionaries and motivate the local members to invite all to come unto Christ by exercising faith in Jesus Christ and seriously learn more of the restored church. To do this I myself not only lived it prior to my mission and on my mission but live the standards daily because I know God will hold me accountable on day on how well I shared what He has given me.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Missionaries primary purpose is to invite all people to come unto Jesus Christ who we know to be the Savior of mankind. To return back to God's presence, we must make covenants which the missionaries will strive to help you make with God. For you to receive an answer and know for yourself they will teach many things concerning Christ as often and as long as you permit. The first lesson they will probably teach about how Jesus Christ has worked from the beginning and how He continues to work to this day by the same manner which is through living Prophets and Apostles. Evidence that God has called a Prophet in our days is the Book of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ. The missionaries will help you see how our great questions of the soul are answered by the Book of Mormon which we know to be the word of God. Missionaries will focus around your spiritual needs and concerns which will help you come closer to God. As you follow through with the commitments they invite you to keep, you will feel your relationship with God grow and ultimately lead you to a better life. Show more Show less
