Hi I'm Ryan Mortimer

I'm a Musician, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music with all of my heart. It means so much to me. It has gotten me through everything. I write my words on paper and put the words to music and that is how I get my thoughts out. I've played the piano since I was 3, and now I play drums, guitar, and a wide variety of other things. I'm so grateful that I was given the gift of music.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because of what it does for me. I have seen this gospel bless my life so much. What a wonderful feeling to know that you have a Savior that knows who you are and what you are going through. I don't know how much greater of a blessing can be than that. When I feel stressed or upset about something I know I can pray and that there is someone that knows what i am going through. He is there and he will help you. This gospel has not only blessed my life but my families life as well. Since I've been on my mission, my family has been protected, blessed, and so much more. I love this gospel with all of my heart. It has brought me so much happiness and that is why I'm a missionary right now. I want to bring that happiness to everyone. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going out every single day in a world to teach people about this Gospel of Jesus Christ. I live this gospel everyday. I follow it exactly because I've seen how it blesses me when I do. As a missionary we go out to a world and talk to people about things most don't want to talk to you about. But I know that by living the gospel of Jesus Christ can and it will bless you so much.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Ryan Mortimer
Joseph Smith Jr. was born in 1805 in Sharon, Windsor County, Vermont, to Joseph and Lucy Mack Smith. He had 10 brothers and sisters. His parents taught him to pray, read the Bible, and to have faith in God. At age 14, as an answer to fervent prayer, Joseph saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, in his First Vision. At age 17, Joseph began to receive heavenly messengers who prepared him for his role in the Restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth. He was a prophet, just like Moses, Isaiah and others in biblical times. He was strengthened by God to fulfill His mission much as was Jeremiah who said, “Ah Lord God! Behold I cannot speak: for I am a child. But the Lord said unto me, Say not I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak” (Jeremiah 1:6-7). Show more Show less
