Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an esthetician. I am passionate about my field and love what I do. I've been married for 9 years to the most amazing man. We enjoy spending time together. We both love Disney and our favorite vacation destination is Disney World. I am a huge hockey fan. The Colorado Avalanche are my favorite team. I also really enjoy Colorado Rockies baseball. My husband and I love to attend sporting events and enjoy attending events that are unfamiliar to us like rugby and lacrosse. We do not have any children because of infertility issues but we feel so blessed to have had 9 years of "together time". We hope to begin traveling more, and would like to be able to tour Europe some day. I am the oldest of 5 children. I grew up in Mesa, AZ but during my teenage years my family moved around a lot, ending up in Colorado. I love having the mountains so close. I'm not much of an outdoors person but enjoy spending the days in the mountains and then coming home to sleep in my own bed. I've recently started crafting. I mostly make things for my home and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a Mormon. I was expected to attend church and all of my church activities. Once I hit 16 or 17 I wasn't sure I wanted to be Mormon anymore. I didn't know if it was true. I started doing things that I knew were wrong. I lived like this for a couple of years but realized that I was just absolutely miserable. I prayed and prayed and a powerful witness came to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true. I followed the path of repentance and have been active ever since. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true! I know this with every fiber of who I am! It is the only way to find peace and lasting joy in this life which is full of disappointment and sorrow. My life isn't easy and I'm definitely not perfect but I am at peace with the trials and difficulties I face. I know that God loves me and He is very aware of what I am feeling and going through. He carries me when I can't seem to carry myself. I love Him!

How I live my faith

In the church we are all asked to volunteer our time to serving others and building the kingdom of God. I am involved in various ways. I was able to attend girls camp with the girls of our stake ages 12-18 last month. During this week of camping the girls are spiritually fed. It is so much fun! New friendships are made and testimonies are strengthened. It is an amazing place to be and I was so honored to be able to spend time with these amazing young women. I am also on the Relief Society activities committee. The Relief Society the our church's women's organization. All women ages 18 and up are part of the Relief Society. You do not have to apply for membership, you are automatically a part of RS when you turn 18. We meet together every Sunday for spiritual lessons and once a month we get together for fun activities. I am on the committee that plans the activities. I really enjoy being a part of the RS. The ladies are incredible!
