Hi I'm Brady

I am serving a mission the Michigan Detroit Mission, I love My family and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a really big sports person, I love the Gospel. I am now serving a full-time mission in the Michigan Detroit Mission. I love serving the Lord. I'm not really a big reader...I just kinda wait for the movies to come out. I love my family, they are great support in all I do. I have been involved in many church functions, as in the Martin Harris Pageant, in Clarkston. I have never really been quite sure what I want to do for a career, I am just hoping that after my mission the Lord will help it fall into place and I will know what I am supposed to do.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, my family are member as far back into history as I can remember. I am very thankful for the church and its Gospel, I hope soon I will be able to serve my mission and help other understand the truth. Even though I was born into the church, there are many who are and leave, maybe because the "feel" that its not for them. So why have i stayed in the Church? Because I have read the Book of Mormon and I have prayed to know if it is true, and the Holy Ghost has told me it is, and like Joseph Smith telling about his vision....I cannot deny it. I know this church is true, and even though at times it is hard to obey and do the right thing, I have seen the blessings that come from keeping the commandments.

How I live my faith

As i have been raised in the church I have served many callings, I have been Deacons Pres. Teachers Pres. and Priest First Counselor. I try to live true to my faith by serving in these callings, and doing as the Lord would have of me, I know that no one is perfect and I am clearly not. But through the Lords help I am able to obey his laws. I try hard every day to live them. I understand that it is hard in this day in age, and I try hard not to hypocritical, and tell someone what they are supposed to be doing and do the opposite. I understand the Gospel and try hard to be humble and obey the Lords will.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

To me death of loved ones is a subject that really is close to my heart, about a year ago I lost my high school sweetheart to a brain tumor. we had been dating for three years and we were very close, she was my best friend. My dear Allisa planned on waiting for me when I returned from my mission but she did not even make it to see me leave, instead I had the rare opportunity of sending her off on her mission first it was VERY hard for me to let her go but she had a perfect understanding of the gospel of Christ, she knew what was ahead of her and she was ready for it. We lived with our Father in heaven before we came to this earth, we lived there as brothers, sisters, family and friends all Gods children that he loved very much. We are sent here to gain a body, learn and grow.....when our life here on earth ends we get to return to our father. When we are in heaven again we are truly blessed, for those who never had the chance to learn about the true Gospel of Jesus Christ they get to now! What a wonderful blessing!! The Lord will make sure that no one will be left out, everyone will have the chance to listen. For the people that learned the Gospel and accepted it, they will become missionaries to those who did not hear it. I know where my Allisa is....she is preaching and teaching the word of God, and she is loving every second of it. I WILL get to see her again and I will be able to hold her in my arms again, and we will be able to tell stories of our missions. Show more Show less
