Hi I'm John

I'm a father, a husband, I work for an aircraft engine manufacturer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of three. I recently moved to Mississippi and am enjoying every minute of it. I enjoy volunteering for the Boy Scouts, fishing, hobby farming and of course spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Catholic alter boy in Southeastern Ohio. I attended a Catholic school for 7 years. My grandmother sang in the choir and have an aunt serving as a nun for the church. So when I was introduced to the Mormon faith, I had plenty of family giving me advice. However, uncertainty was still present, so I resolved to simply read the Book of Mormon. The following scripture provided the best answer - Moroni 10:4... "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." I am a Mormon because the Holy Spirit has testified to me the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

The example set by the Savior has had a huge impact in how I live my faith. As a Ward Mission Leader, I try to look for opportunities to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. By placing gospel principles at the center of my life, I find joy in teaching, sharing and helping others in need.
