Hi I'm Ethan

I like to play sports. I'm currently a missionary serving in Minnesota. I'm a diabetic and a Mormon!

About Me

I was raised a member of the church but just like everyone else I had to find out the truth of it for myself. I'm very greatful for my parents and the way they raised me. They taught me true and correct principles and let me make my own choices. I like to try and play sports mostly basketball, football and raquetball. I also snowboard. I may not be the best but I try my best in anything I set my mind to.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church, but there was a time in my life when I did my own thing and drifted some what from the things I had been taught. I started to realize that I wasn't happy, I knew it was because I wasn't following God's commandments. I wasn't happy untill I started to straighten out my life and live the way God wants me to. I know from personal experience that true happieness comes from living the commandments. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the same church that Christ himself established when he was here on earth, and that he leads and guides it. I know that the prophets were and are his mouth pieces to tell us what we need to do to protect ourselfs spiritually. I know that it's not always easy to follow in the footsteps of the savior Jesus Christ but if we try our best and we are faithfull the rewards will be worth it!

How I live my faith

I am living my faith currently by serving a two year mission in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission. The Lord has asked through his prophets that every willing, worthy, able young man serve a mission. This is deffinately not an easy thing to do, but it has been the greatest decsion I have ever made. Through serving God's children I serve God himself. It is a great blessing to preach the gospel, and watch our Father in Heaven's children come unto to him through Faith in Jesus Christ, sincre repentance, covenanting to follow the comandments by being baptized, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. This is the gospel that Christ taught and it's the same that I'm priviledged teach now. After my mission I will continue to live my faith by serving in whatever calling I'm asked to serve in. Also by starting a family and teaching them to live the gospel and follow their savior.

What is faith?

Ethan
Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. It is a principle of action and power and needs to be centered in Jesus Christ in order to produce salvation. there are three things that one needs to have a perfect faith. first one must know that God existists. Second he is perfect in his charactor and attributes, he is omniscent, omnipotent, and he will fullfill all his promises. Third one must know that the course of life one is persueing is acceptable to God and in accordance with his will. Faith is a principle of action. We exercise faith when we keep the commandments. It is also a principle of power. Every miracle that occured in the Bibble and the Book of Mormon, and all the miracles that occure today in our time is a result of faith. Show more Show less
