Hi I'm Lindsay

I'm a single mother of 3 beautiful children and an assistant Pre-k teacher....and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have an 8 year old son and identical twin 6 year old daughters. I was in an emotionally abusive 4 year marriage to a man who was not a member of the church. I got out of the marriage to prevent my kids from growing up in that type of environment. I live with a chronic pain and nerve condition that makes life so hard. I work very hard to hide it from my kids and others in order to not be a burden on everyone. I spend everyday teaching my kids everything I know about life and the church. My mother died young and in the event that the same happens to me I want my children to remember who I was and what I stood for and be able to pass that along to their own children.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but fell away for several years. I wanted to know for a fact that the church was true and not just go along with what my family believed. I started over by taking the discussions with the missionaries. I prayed and fasted to know that the church was true. While in a meeting with the bishop of my ward my mother's spirit came to me. She let me know how proud she was of me and that the church was in fact the true church. I never fell away from the church again. I love everything about the church. It's not just a church, it's a way of life. Everyone welcomed me back as if I never left. My bishop and ward family are always there for me and my kids. Every aspect of my life has improved. Through my faith I know that someday I can remarry and have my kids sealed to me. I know that my Heavenly Father has made a way for me and my kids to be together for time and all eternity and I wouldn't give that up for anything this world has to offer.

How I live my faith

My life is centered around the teachings of the church. I go to church every Sunday. Though I'm usually late and rush in like an over whelmed mom no one judges me for it. I teach the 12 year old Sunday school class. They keep me own my toes and put up with short comings. The faith and spirit that they have helps to continually renew my own testimony. I talk to my friends about the church and they respect me for my beliefs. I love life and enjoy the beautiful things in this world that our Heavenly father has given to us. This life is a gift, live it to the fullest. Though I have been given many trials in my life I work hard, play hard, and never miss an opportunity to dance with the kids in the living room like a crazy person.
