Hi I'm David

I live in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, with my beautiful wife, Milena, and our four wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my wonderful wife, Milena, for 10 years. She is from Brazil. We met in Utah while she was going to school in Provo. We met at the Manti Pageant, which is a great Pageant put on by our church in Manti, Utah. We were able to go to the Manti Pageant this summer for the first time since we met there 11 years ago. I'm so thankful that I got up the guts to sit next to her that night and introduce myself. The rest, as they say, is history. We have had a great time together for these past 10 years. One of our favorite things to do together is travel. Once a year, my mom will come and stay with our kids so that we can go on a trip, just the two of us. We've been to 21 countries and plan on seeing many more together. We have four wonderful kids two girls, ages 9 and 7, and two boys, ages 3 and 1. They keep us very busy, especially our three year old boy, who has more energy than both of us combined. Although I love to scuba dive, golf, and snorkel, I rarely get to do these things as I love spending time with my kids even more. When I was 19, I served a mission for the Church in Madagascar. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It has brought me great joy to stay in contact with many of the people I taught in Madagascar and to see how they have been blessed by following our Savior. I'm a lawyer and I practice personal injury law. I'm thankful to be a lawyer as it provides me with the opportunity to help people through trying times.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true. One of the surest ways to find out whether this Church is true is to read the Book of Mormon. If one finds out that the Book of Mormon is true, than that means that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet, because he is the one of translated the Book of Mormon. If Joseph Smith was a true Prophet, than that means that the Church which he organized is the true Church. I have read the Book of Mormon many times throughout my life. I try to read it every morning. I know that it is true. Each time that I read it it brings a power into my life that can only come from God. It gives me the power to overcome temptation and the power to obey Heavenly Father's commandments. I'm a Mormon because I know this Church is our Heavenly Father's true church but, I'm also a Mormon because of the joy that this Church brings into my life. By living the teachings of this Church I have found true joy and happiness. My family is the source of some of my greatest joy in this life. As a member of this Church I know that I can live with my family forever after this life, as long as we faithfully keep our Heavenly Father's commandments.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example to others around me and by serving others. At church I am responsible for leading a group of about 30 men. We learn each week about how to be better husbands and fathers and how to be better people in our communities. We also have assignments to visit the members of our Church to see if there is anything that we can help them with. I live my faith by teaching my children to follow our Savior, Jesus Christ. We pray together and read the scriptures together each day. Above all, I try to be a good example for my family.
