Hi I'm Brent

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I served my mission in the Philippines. I have been Married for 11 yrs. A Father of 3 children. We love sports and to be in the outdoors. That includes Backpacking, Baseball little league, Skiing, Golfing, Swimming, Body surfing, Mtn. biking or Star gazing. I am currently looking for a new career direction, that will allow me to use my organizational and people skills.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church, but have always been given the freedom to make my own decisions. In my late teen years, I had an undeniable personal experience...a sincere prayer answered. I knew then, that it was my responsibility to share that God given knowledge with others. I served my 2 yr. FULL-TIME mission in the Philippines. Baguio region It was a wonderful experience learning a new language and a beautiful new culture, the constant was the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I was astonished that the ONLY THING that trancended the distance or culture were His teachings. I was in an unfamiliar land surrounded by a different people, yet His teachings had the same effect. There has never been anyone else throughout history that has had the effect on so many as Christ. My heart and belief in Him and His teachings were strengthend daily and have continued to grow since. I have seen a steady increase in my love for Him and His teachings as I continue to keep the promises that I have made with Him. I am very grateful for a Savior, a loving guide through this life, to lead me through to turmoil that surrounds us all. I strive daily to fulfill my obligations to Him and our Father in Heaven. He has done His part, now it is my responsibility in our arrangement to do mine. I have ALWAYS had the FREEDOM to make my own decisions, even that is a blessing from my loving Savior. My gratitude is shown by my desire, commitment and dedication to be like Him.

How I live my faith

As a young man, I had great leaders that were ALWAYS available. I see it as an obligation/opportunity to be that for the youth now. I serve in the young mens organization and am very active in the Boy Scouts of America. My children are not old enough to participate in either of these organizations, but that doesn't stop me from bringing them with me EVERYTIME. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to teach the young men on Sunday's too. I enjoy working with them to help them find thier way to Christ, and to apply his teachings in our daily lives. I must say that I benefit from being around the youth, they battle the adversary and his influences daily in literal hand to hand combat. I draw from thier strength and try to provide guidance in any way that I can.
