Hi I'm Jaylene

I host a co-op preschool of stay-at-home mothers and their children at my home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mother of six children. Life can get kind of busy getting all of them to their various activities each day. But my husband and I also work at setting aside time for all of us to be together as a family. I enjoy hiking and being outdoors in nature, so I'm constantly dragging everyone out camping, to state parks and other walking trails. I also enjoy painting and have painted several large murals on my childrens' walls. When my oldest child was young, I used my collage degree in elementary education to form a tuition-free, non-profit preschool were I invited several other stay-at-home mothers to join me in teaching our children. For the past eleven years I have held this preschool in my home. At it's peak I had 26 children, 16 mothers, and five babies in my home twice a week and mentored a second preschool with a similar set-up in the next town over. As mothers we were able to teach out children together in three different age-appropriate groups, as well as give each other the help and support we needed as mothers. The preschool is open to any mother interested in joining us without any cost to them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into an LDS family and was taught the teachings of the gospel since birth. However, as I have learned and studied the teaching of modern prophets and our Lord, Jesus Christ on my own, I have come to realize what a wonderful gift our Heavenly Father gave us when he restored his gospel to the earth through modern prophets. I'm so grateful that I can raise my children in a church that will give them a moral foundation in a world devoid of any such moral structures. By following its teachings, me and my family can avoid all the sorrow that living contrary to our Heavenly Father's commandments will bring. I know that as we follow the precepts of the gospel that we will be able to weather the storms of life. I know that Jesus is the Christ. He lived for us. He died for us. He paid for our sins. If we have the faith to believe on his name, and repent of our sins, Christ will forgive us of past mistakes and we will have the opportunity to live with our earthly families and our Heavenly Father again after we die. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church on the earth to have all of the teachings and ordinances of Jesus Christ on the earth today.

How I live my faith

Through out my life, I have served in my church in many various callings. I am currently serving in the presidency of the woman's organization of my church where we strive to help and support each other and then reach out and serve others in our community. I also am involved at my childrens' school, and of course am team mom for their various sports teams. I have learned that true happiness comes from serving others, so I try to know the families in our neighborhood so that I can be aware of any needs that they might have.

Can husband and wife be together forever? Do you believe that families will live together in heaven?

A husband and wife who are married in the temple will be united eternally if they are true and faithful to covenants they make. Families have the opportunity to live together after death if they follow the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know this is a true doctrine. I have had the Holy Ghost testify of this to me when, as a young child, my sister passed away, and again as a young adult when my mother died. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants to to happy. He wants us to live with him and our families again after death. Show more Show less
