Hi I'm Jenny

I'm happiest when I'm outside. I'm a mom to three active boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a west coast girl through and through. I went to the prairies for university and became a registered nurse. I worked in maternity, plastic surgey, and burns. I met my husband my last year of university and after our first baby was born we moved back to the coast. After our thrid son was born I left nursing to be a stay at home mom. I now have three little boys. We are starting our first year of home schooling. We love the outdoors, playing in the rain, getiing dirty in the garden, reading spralled out on the floor, and avoid housework whenever possible! I have a deep love of learning.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a mormon family. My parents had both joined the church on their own in their twentys after pivitol experiences with learning about the church reading the book of mormon and praying to God. Asking if it was true. They each faced challanges as they left their old life to become a mormon but they have always remained faithful. Their determination and faith was ever present. They loved the gospel, God and Jesus Christ. They bore their testimonies to us regularily in word and deed. They reached out to those around us and taught us to serve as Christ was. Through their love and example I learned of God's Love for me and all His children. I read the scriptures, the Bible and the book of mormon. I not only found peace in reading those scriptures but answers to my prayers. I came to know that God loved me. He was aware of me. I saw His hand in my life as I witnessed small miracles in my simple life anda few great miracles in the lives of loved ones. I've continued faithful into my adult life because it works. I follow the principles and feel the peace and happiness. I could not leave it no for the poweful testimony I have. I know God Lives and Loves us. We are His children and He Loves us more than I can begin to comprehend. He wants us to be HAPPY! Jesus Lives He is the Saviour of the World. He loves us and gave His life for us so that ALL of us will live again. He atoned for our sins that we might find forgiveness and mercy and be made whole if we come unto Him, repent and find peace and everlasting Joy. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ following its principles has made me more than I ever would have been without it and continues to make me a better person. It makes me SMILE!

How I live my faith

I try to be a good Christian, a good community member, helping out where I can, trying to act in the way that emulates the saviour. I have had many opportunities to serve within the church community as well. I have organized camps for young girls aged 12-18, taught sunday school lessons to youth, taught in our womens organization and acted as a leader over both the womens organization and Our program for children. In all of the positions that I have been assigned I have felt impressed by the increased love I feel for those I have stwedarship over. A sense of how God sees them and what He wants for them, their potential. It makes it so rewarding to lead from this perspective. I don't know where I have had the most fun. Working with babes at only 18months signing songs and playing so their parents can go to their curch meetings, teahing a class full of 5 yearolds with wiggles, planing a camp for teenage girls trying to figure out who they are and watching them blossom, to organizing relief efforts, lessons, activities and enrichment for young moms, single women, empty nesters, grandparents, widows and greatgrandparents. I always learn so much from those I am called to serve. I also visit a few women each month as part of our visiting teaching program. I have had the opportunity to get to know many women I otherwise would not have known so well and have been there through good and bad with them and them with me. We share a common love of the gospel and sometimes nothing more but we are there to help lift each others spirits and encourage each other. When tragedy, illness or sadness come there is someone you can call for help or a listening ear. I love this program it is amazing - it is simply Christ like love but it is organized so no one gets missed.
