Hi I'm Laura

I'm studying to become a teacher. I love play the piano, especially for choirs! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full-time college student. I love to play the piano and sing. I love to read. I love plays and musicals. I hope to be a teacher and mother someday.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I have grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of my life, I know that the gospel is true because of many experiences I have had throughout my life. I have seen God's influence in my life through the tender mercies that He shows me. Sometimes I am extremely busy with school, but when I put the Lord first in my life, everything falls into place. It is a testimony to me of Heavenly Father's love. As I obey God's commandments, I have seen gospel principles work in my life. When I have faith - or take a step into the darkness, trusting in God - that is when He leads and guides me. As the scripture in John 7:17 says, "If any man will do [God's] will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." I have learned that as I trust in the Lord, He will take care of me. I will still have trials, but as long as I am striving to live in accordance with His will, those trials and afflictions will help me grow and become who my Heavenly Father wants me to be. As we trust in the Lord, everything will work together for our good, and so we can have courage. I know that Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, will never leave us alone. I know that Jesus Christ lives! I know that He is our Savior and our Redeemer. We are all children of God, and He loves us! He watches out for us, and leads and guides us as we strive to do His will. I am so grateful for this knowledge. I have seen the power and influence of the Lord in my life. I know that our Father in Heaven hears and answers our prayers, because He has answered mine.

How I live my faith

I love to serve in my ward - music, teaching, whatever I am asked to do! One thing I love about serving is the people I get to know and work with. The friendships I have made have blessed my life greatly. Most recently, I was called to serve as a full-time missionary. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been the source of so much joy and happiness in my life, and I am so excited to be able to share this message with others.
