Hi I'm Katherine

I grew up in Virginia. I'm a college grad. I teach 1st grade and also work helping at-risk students go to college. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Northern Virginia. I am a college graduate from Brigham Young University. I work helping at-risk students go to college. I love to write. I run marathons. I teach English. I am 24 and currently single. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the most important thing in my life, as it gives me perspective, happiness, and hope.

Why I am a Mormon

I come from a family of strong Mormons, so it is only natural that I grew up attending church regularly. But there comes a time when everyone who grew up in the Church must decide for themselves their level of commitment and their own belief, or testimony, of the Mormon faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. One way is praying everyday at least twice, but sometimes more. That might sound like a lot, but I couldn't live without prayer. It gives me such incredible strength to be able to express my thoughts, concerns, and desires to Heavenly Father. And prayer has also helped me receive insight, or personal revelation, about questions I have or decisions I have to make. Another way I live my faith is through reading my scriptures everyday. Being able to study the life of Jesus Christ has given me a greater testimony of Him. I also read about the prophets and their teachings about the Savior. I also try to share my faith with others. Without being pushy, I find ways to talk to other people about how blessed I am because of the influence of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
