Hi I'm Tracy

I grew up in Idaho and Utah, studied Civil Engineering, have a great family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of five children, a husband to a wonderful wife of 20 years, and I love the outdoors. I love spending time with my family, hiking, camping, fly-fishing, and just seeing what beauty our Creator made for our benefit. I grew up in a single parent house-hold, and it wasn't always easy without both parents actively involved with rearing the children. I was given a lot of independence and agency with respect to going to Church, and through the hard work and interest of the local church members, they helped me to desire to receive the priesthood, and kept me involved and interested in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I've lived in various states around the West, and have enjoyed meeting new people (though it can be hard!) throughout my life. The best part of moving around is seeing the differences and similarities that we all share as sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father, and making many friends of all cultures and beliefs.

Why I am a Mormon

My ancestors were some of the original Mormon Pioneers that made the trek across the plains to the Utah territory in 1847. I grew up in the Mormon church, and was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church when I was eight years old. Over time, I have had the opportunity to discover my own testimony of the Mormon Faith, and have recognized the happiness in my life and those of my close family members because of our choice to follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In contrast, I have close family members whom I love, that have made the choice not to follow the gospel, and they do not share the same positive outlook and level of happiness that I have. I have a personal testimony of the truthfulness of this Gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet of God, and did help to organize the Mormon Church under the direction of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and I have been comforted and directed in my life when I follow the precepts and divine counsel found within its pages. Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that he sits at the head of this Church. Through him, I know that we will live again after this life is over, and that if we accept him, and follow his teachings, we can live in his presence with the Father.

How I live my faith

I live my faith my trying to be as engaged in my faith as possible. I attend my meetings, and work to look after those that I am assigned stewardship over. I have worked with young men in helping them to prepare to become righteous men, future missionaries, husbands, and fathers. I work hard to set an example for my family by trying to follow the standards set forth by our Church Leaders and Prophets. It is important for me to attend the temple as often as I can, and to try and put myself in positions where I can feel the promptings of the Holy Ghost, and act upon them to serve my fellow man, and our Savior.
