Hi I'm Nate

I have depression. I'm the happiest person you'll ever meet. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recently returned missionary. I loved my mission. There is nothing else I would have rather done for those two years. I served in the Arcadia, California mission speaking English and Spanish. I have three little brothers, and one older sister who is going to be married in September. I love Music! I listen to (almost) all kinds of music. I like writing music as well, though i don't have the time to do it as much as I'd like. I live in Utah and will be going to a university this spring. I have depression, a disorder that many people misunderstand. My type of depression is a natural lack of a chemical in the brain called "serotonin". It's nothing I did, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. I received the help that I needed, and am on a medicine to help my brain make its own serotonin. I'm stable, and You'd never think I had this trial. I was a mascot for 3 years during my high school days. It was SOOOO fun. (center of attention, everyone loves you, what's there not to love about that?! ...well almost everyone loves you.)

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I went to church growing up, I was baptized at age 8, and have only been growing in my testimony since that big day. I always, "knew" that this church is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ, but I hadn't had a "big" moment that really told me that the church is true... until i was 14 years old. I was having a tough time, and was seeing my duties in the church as just an extra thing to do in my life. I'd heard that if someone was to learn something that they couldn't comprehend themselves, they should turn to prayer, and that God would tell us what to do. I did just that. Even though I was born and raised in the church, I needed to know that it was God's work, and that I was pursuing the thing that God would have me pursue. That night, I received in answer to the prayer a knowledge. I know that this is the Restored Church of Jesus Christ. If you have a problem with that, or have ANY questions, comments, or concerns, I am confident in directing you to prayer. God loves us and answers our prayers. Why? He's our Heavenly Father, and He loves us. He will give us the knowledge we need.

How I live my faith

I just returned from a full-time mission for the Church. I plan on participating in the Church activities, giving service wherever possible, bear my testimony, and being a Christian in all that I do and say. Before the mission, I was a teacher in church for the 6-7-year-olds. We are asked to take upon us responsibilities by our leaders and I know that they are directed by God in extending these responsibilities. I am prepared to accept callings as the Church leaders give them to me. I, even without the name-tag that I bore as a missionary, am a representative of Jesus Christ as a member of His church. I strive to be the best i can. I fall short. WAY short. The Lord supports us in these good desires to do good to everyone everywhere.
