Hi I'm Shem.

I'm Mormon.

About Me

I'm a regular teenager. I hang out with friends, go on camping trips, and just have fun. I do everything: play sports, video-games, go rock climbing, wake-boarding, swimming, whatever, just so long as I'm having fun. I just finished high-school and plan on going to college after going on a mission. But most of all, I enjoy being Mormon. Right now I'm serving a mission in Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk. I love being in Ukraine speaking Russian.

Why I am a Mormon

Partly because that's what my parents brought me up as, and mostly because I found out for my self that this Church is Christ's only true church on the Earth. I have read the Book of Mormon multiple times, and each time confirm to myself again that it is true. Consequently, I know that Joseph Smith was God's chosen Prophet. I know that living the principles of this faith has brought me so much happiness in this life. I know that I am living as God has asked me to, and that is most important.

How I live my faith

Right now I live it by talking with people about my church. As a missionary, I have the opportunity to help others come closer to Christ. But in order to do that, I have to live it myself. That means keeping all the commandments. I read my scriptures each day, and say prayers at least morning and night. Also, attending church each Sunday helps me feel closer to my Heavenly Father.
