Hi I'm Jeff

I wrestled in high school and I love weight lifting. I've never been the biggest or the best. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a son, brother, uncle, student, and a friend. I like enjoying myself. Lots of people have affected my life and helped me to accomplish my goals. I have earned my eagle scout award, graduated from high school with honors, excelled in sports, got accepted into college, and served an LDS mission. But I'm not done yet, I still have the goals of graduating from college, getting married, having a family, and supporting my family so that my wife can be a stay-at-home mom and raise our children. It hasn't been easy. It won't be easy. But it'll be worth it and I'm not alone. I wrote this last paragraph a year ago and it's time I update it. In the past year I took up gymnastics rings as a hobby. With lots of practice and some help from youtube I learned a lot. I tore my ACL playing volleyball and had surgery on it. It's been 6 months since that and I'm feeling great. I'm home for the summer from Brigham Young University and I'm working at McDonald's and doing some volunteering at a physical therapy clinic.

Why I am a Mormon

This is not an easy question to answer. There's not just one answer. And the answer tends to change according to who I am talking to. But here's what comes to my mind: first, all my life my parents brought me to church. It wasn't ever hard for me to go. I trusted my parents. I have often wondered why I didn't ever have to find the Church. Second, I prayed to my Father in Heaven when I was 12 years old and I asked him if this Church is true. It's the simple task every member asks every one else to do. I did it and God answered me. It was in His time and when I was ready for it. I have never forgotten that moment. And third, I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy and answers my questions. I'm a happy person. I've always been happy. I have no doubt in my mind and heart that obedience to God's commandments brings happiness. So, I invited you to ask God if this church is true and obey the commandments. Your life will never be that same.

How I live my faith

Every day I pray to my Heavenly Father and I read the scriptures. I go to church every Sunday. These holy habits may have started as customs or family traditions, but now I need them and they make me feel good. For the past 2 years I served as a full time missionary for the Church in Uruguay. A little country in South America that is in between Brazil and Argentina. I absolutly loved it. I shared this message with everyone I saw for 2 years. I just came home about 3 weeks ago and I'm adjusting to not being a full time missionary and just a regular member.
