Hi I'm Alli

I'm a mother. I'm a happy, poor college student's wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I'm not saving the world with my ninja moves and rock hard abs [my husband wishes], I'm playing house ... and I love it. I have one adorable munchkin [with the occasional scream, drawing on walls, playing in the toilet water, etc], but even still, adorable. Hopefully, I'll have many more munchkins to come. I've been married to my hilarious husband for five years, a mother for two years, a college graduate for two years, poor college student's wife for five years--three more to go, a wanna-be runner for one year, and a Mormon for life. I love to laugh, eat, date my mister, and play with my little one. I own two online businesses to help out with our penny-pinching. I grew up in Ohio, and I still crave the diversity it offers. It was a blessing to be one of the few Mormons in my high school.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because that's who I am. The doctrines of Christ have become apart of me. Being Mormon doesn't just describe me -- it is me; it's who I am. My actions and thoughts are based on Christ and His teachings. I love my Savior and His great church. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness of the truthfulness of this gospel. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church -- why wouldn't I be Mormon is the question. I'm so happy being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Christ. I try to love as He loves. I'm not perfect and that's exactly why I'm so grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I teach the 10 and 11 year-old girls in our local church. I can see why these little ones are so precious in His eyes. I'm also a Visiting Teacher which means I get to visit and serve some of the woman and their families in our area. My day-to-day expression of my faith occurs at home. I'm a mother and as such feel a great responsibility to make my home a Christ-centered home. If I align myself everyday by reading my scriptures, saying my personal prayers and giving service, I can help create an environment which allows the Spirit to be present. There's no better teacher than Him. I live my faith by teaching my little one how to talk to God through prayers and read His words through scripture. I truly feel being a righteous wife and mother are my two greatest callings in life. I can make the greatest difference by expressing and living my faith in the home; for, the family is the fundamental unit of society.
