Hi I'm Kollin

I'm a brother and an uncle. I love Jesus, rock music, video games and sports. I play drums. I'm part Hispanic, And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Georgia for most of my life. I served a mission for the church in Cailfornia and learned Spanish there. I'm currently attending school and hope to develop my career, either in music performance or recording.I love to study history and I'm interested in science, math and literature. I love to play drums, piano, and guitar, and just about every percussion instrument you can think of. I was on the drumline in my high school marching band and loved each moment of it. Other interests include Rock and classic music, action movies, swimming, video games, hanging out with friends, recreational gun shooting, cars, motorcycles, and mechanics, and going to awesome places and events. I love to read. I love Sci-fi, fantasy, and many classics in literature. I hope to one day marry the girl of my dreams, start a family of my own, have a successful and enjoyable career, and just enjoy life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a member family that has heritage back to the pioneers who crossed the country to settle in Salt Lake. The family I have takes care of me and makes sure I do not step in the wrong place. They do this through inspiration from the scriptures, and they follow examples of prophets who are true to their faith in a world where wickedness is everywhere. They are good to me and I hope one day to lead my future family in the same way, with love and care. As I live the teachings of the gospel, I feel peace and strength in my life. The gospel inspires me to be a better person each day and as I live its teachings, I feel blessed to be part of something this wonderful. It give me great happiness to know that I am a child of God who blesses my life and helps me through my struggles. And as I live this way, I'm reaffirmed of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the teachings of prophets both ancient and modern. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, that he did see God the father and his son, and reestablished God's church on this earth. I know that there is a prophet today who speaks to God and tells us our heavenly fathers will. I know that Jesus Christ is the savior and redeemer of all the world and I'm am so grateful for his atonement.

How I live my faith

I served as a full-time missionary for two years, bringing the word of the true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone who will listen. Now that I'm back, I help the full-time missionaries in my area in Georgia with their work as they spread the word about the gospel. In Church, I listen to lessons in Sunday school- Lessons about Jesus Christ, his everlasting love for us, and his sacrifice for our sins. I teach the lessons of the prophets, both today's prophets and the ones in ancient biblical times. I live my life according to those teachings. I apply those teachings to my daily life to make myself a better person each day. I truly believe my life has been blessed because of living its principles.Because of this, I work hard at my daily duties and try to be the best person anyone can know.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, it is a common misconception. Our worship goes directly to God and Jesus Christ. The reason we talk so much about him is because through him, Christ restored his gospel and authority on the Earth. It was by the power and inspiration of Jesus Christ that he was able to translate the Book of Mormon from ancient plates. We believe he was a prophet of God, and we sustain him and his successors as such, But our primary worship goes toward Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
