Hi I'm Ian

I'm a software engineer. I love music and travelling. I have lived all over the US. I'm a husband and a dad of one. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy learning and have many interests and pursuits. I enjoy everything from music to ultimate frisbee, from traveling to software, from camping to watching movies. Currently, I am a software engineer. My job is great because of the variety and learning. Everyday I am challenged with complex problems, and I enjoy working through them and learning new techniques and possibilities as I work. I am fascinated with the things that computers can do, how they affect our lives, and the process of creating large software systems. Because of this I am pursuing my Master's degree in Systems Architecting. My wife and I love seeing the world, and we have been to England, France, Italy, Brazil, and many places around the US. My wife and I have been married a few years. We have a wonderful baby boy who is fascinated with everything going on and has his eyes wide open. The gospel of Jesus Christ and my family are what are most important to me. I love sharing the restored gospel with others, and I hope to bring them happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I have had many small experiences that have increased my faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have sincerely studied the Book of Mormon and Bible and prayed to know of their truthfulness. Applying the principles of the gospel have given me great happiness. Jesus Christ is my inspiring example and hero. He paid for my mistakes, and his gospel has helped me pursue righteousness. Christ's restored gospel and priesthood allow my family to be forever.

How I live my faith

I study the Book of Mormon and Bible daily. I ponder on Christ's example and work on implementing his qualities and characteristics into my life. Through prayer and the Holy Spirit, I try to know what God would have me do. I work and serve to bring happiness to others. I repent and change my ways when I make mistakes. I choose to be happy by remembering all the Christ did for me and all the God, his Father, gave me.
