Hi I'm Jason

I'm a full-time pre-physician assistant student who loves spending time with his wife and baby girl, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full time student who loves being active. My favorite pass times in life are playing any sport that involves a ball or a board. However spending time with my beautiful wife is, by far, the best part of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of the LDS (Mormon) Church. However when I was a teenager, I began to have serious doubts regarding its validity. I found it extremely hard to believe in something that seemed so supernatural. I also refused to believe in it just because my parents told me that it was true. I began to live my life in the way that I thought was best, the way that I thought brought happiness. However, to my displeasure, by the time I was seventeen I realized that I was miserable. I realized that what I thought brought happiness, only brought emptiness. I began to pray. I began to read the Scriptures. I began to sincerely ask my Heavenly Father for answers to my doubts...and He listened. He brought friends into my life that were members of the LDS Church and who showed me how keeping God's commandments brought never ending happiness. Little by little He taught me the truthfulness of this Gospel. I now know for myself that God lives. I know that He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to save us from our sins. I know that Jesus Christ not only suffered for our sins, but that He suffered for our heartaches, our disappointments, and our hardships. Amidst any struggle, we can find peace in Him because He knows exactly what we are going through. I know that He and His father have called a living prophet today. The first was Joseph Smith. Today it's a man named Thomas S. Monson. If you would like to know if its true too, just ask. Ask Heavenly Father, study it out in the scriptures, and you will receive your answer.

How I live my faith

One of the ways that I live my faith is through my daily actions: Every morning I try to read the Holy Scriptures before leaving for school. By doing this, the first words I hear everyday, are the Lord's. This, in turn, helps me start the day peacefully and with elevated thoughts. Everyday I try to find opportunities to serve God's children. Since my goal is to be more like our Savior, Jesus Christ, everyday I try to help his children feel His love through me. Throughout the day I always try to remember to talk with my Heavenly Father. Whether it's thanking Him for the food I have, asking for help on an exam and then thanking Him for helping me recall what I had studied, or even just telling him about something funny I saw, I try to make Him an integral part of my life.
