Hi I'm Matthew Pond!

I'm a Mormon. I live in Colorado, and have six sisters, and one brother. I am truely gratefull to have the gospel in my life.

About Me

I am an American and I feel truely blessed to be a part of the church. I know that God is perfect and knows our weeknesses and knows how to make them strengths. I am serving a mission in the Pennsylvainia Philadelphia Mission. I will do all I can to defend what I belive in. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I am blessed with all the things that I need to become what God wants me to become. God will always bless us and keep us strong if we are faithfully doing what is right.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents where born into different faiths and joined the church before they got married. I was born into the church and grew up with the gospel and the priesthood. I chose to be baptized when I was 8, I have continued strong ever since then. I am able to see that as I faithfully follow Christ I am blessed. I have chosen to serve a mission and am serving in the Pensylvania Philadelphia Mission. i know that the church has all the priesthood keys that the Lord placed on Earth when he established his church. One way that I have strengthened my testimony in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is by reading the Book of Mormon Another Testiment of Jesus Christ. If every person would just take the step as i did and read the book and ask God in prayer if it is true then they would receive a witness that it is the word of God! Its fantastic :-)

How I live my faith

I constantly am involved with the youth programs in the church to help others have the same good expeireances that I had when I was in them. I have never missed a day of semminary and I always try to get to all church meetings that I can. I am serving a full time mission for the Lord. I help others to see how this faith and this church can bless them in their life.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Matthew Pond!
The short answer is, No. Those that choose to serve a mission are called and serve for 18 to 24 months. Missionaries are of all genders and varying ages. You can be a 19 year-old man just starting into life, a 21 year-old woman choosing to serve the lord, or even retired and serving as a couple. There are many opportunities to serve and many who are willing to do so! Show more Show less
