Hi I'm Julie

I'm a stay-at-home mother of 5. I love music, fun exercise, pets, and my Book Club. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 25 years and a mom for 23 years. I love to volunteer at my kids' schools and sports activities. I meet regularly with friends to exercise, eat lunch out, study scriptures, and for a book club. I play the piano and organ, love to garden, and try new recipes. I enjoy watching sports with my kids.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents taught me to go to church every week and to live a life that would be pleasing to God. I was baptized as an 8 year-old and have understood the gospel of Jesus Christ better every year since then. I went to early-morning Seminary as a teenager and learned how to get to know God better by studying the scriptures. While I was at BYU I learned how to make choices, completely on my own, that I knew led to happiness and feeling God's love for me. Going to church puts me around friends and good examples who help me keep making choices that lead to happiness. By serving in church callings and teaching others, I have been taught by the Holy Ghost and have felt God's love for others and myself. There have been a few times when the Holy Ghost has spoken to me and helped me make important life decisions or helped me deal with difficult circumstances. I know I was ready to listen at those times because I have spent my life trying to live the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My first priority in life is the family that God gave me. I try to spend my best energy on them. They don't all go to church with me, but I love them so much and hope they will build their own good relationships with God and Jesus Christ. I also teach the youth in our ward and organize weekly activities for the teenage girls to learn about the abilities and guidelines that God has given them. I like to share my testimony with the people I go to church with because I have learned things that help me feel happy, peaceful, and loved and I know everyone likes to feel that way.
