Hi I'm Debbie

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I love the beauty of Gods creations. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My childhood was a little rough. I dealt with different kinds of abuse, but I was able to turn to my Heavenly Father to get me through. Now, I am a stay at home mom. I get to be with my 4 kids daily. Most days I love my job! I also enjoy the world God created for us. My kids and husband love it to. I find such peace when I take the time to go enjoy nature. I also enjoy preserving the memory of our family. I love going through old pictures when my kids were really little. My family brings me such joy, and I love sharing that joy with the books I make. I am very much a people person now. I went to school to be a nurse. I learned through that experience that I love to make people smile. I want to help anyone and everyone around me, especially when I see them struggling. I love to cook and bake. I usually make a big batch of cookies and take them to anyone that may need a pick me up.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned for myself when I was 15 that my Heavenly Father loves me. He confirmed to me, through the Holy Ghost, that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on the earth today. At that time in my life, this knowledge helped to get through the mental and emotional struggles that I dealt with. I have asked my Heavenly Father to guide me in all my major descisions. I learned that through patience in waiting for the answers he had for me, great blessings have been given to me. My wonderful eternal companion would not have been mine had I been impatient with the Lord. Now I have a wonderful eternal family to love, teach and enjoy. Today, the gospel brings a much needed peace to my home, as well as the comfort that God will come again. Everyday, I know my Heavenly Father is there. Some days the spirit is stronger than others. A lot of that depends on how I am living my life. I know God has asked us to do things to improve our lives. I also know he has brought us together to help each other through this mortal life. Jesus Christ died that I might live again with my Heavenly Father. I know that if I repent of my sins and lean on my Savior I will be able to progress in this life. I am a Mormon today because my life has no meaning without God and his church.

How I live my faith

In our church each member voluntarily helps the church to run through "callings". As I have had various callings in the church, from teaching children and adults to helping with our activities, I strive to magnify what is asked of me. Service is something the Savior did daily. I love helping and serving anyone anywhere and anytime. As a family, we have scripture study and daily prayers both individual and family. We work together, and serve together. I try yo teach my children how to live by example. I want them to know what I believe is why I live the way I do. I read and study what our latter day Prophet says, as well as the scriptures God has given us. I pray always to my Heavenly Father for guidance in all things.
