Hi I'm Jeremy

I grew up in Idaho, and I love my life here. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

By day I manage a small engineering team, but in the evenings, I come home to an exciting family of four little boys and a wonderful wife. My immediate family has stayed in the area and I enjoy being with them on a regular basis. I grew up in Idaho and enjoy snowboarding, camping, and exploring in the nearby mountains. I also enjoy the tranquility of the open spaces, and the rivers and streams that flow through the area. I am a bit of a nerd and love learning new things and attending school and classes. I am also fascinated by anything that has to do with cars both new and old.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by great parents who have strong testimonies of the gospel. They taught me about the gospel, about God's plan, and about the commandments. I don't remember a time when I did not believe what they were teaching me. As I grew older and worked harder to develop my own testimony, I have felt the spirit through reading the Book of Mormon, attending church, and attending the temple. The foundation of my own testimony was enforced as I was first starting my mission to Germany. My companion and I decided to read the Book of Mormon to try and practice the language. As we read words we couldn't understand I could felt the Holy Ghost telling me the truth of the book. After this experience and others I have realized that as I try to lead a good life, I feel good about myself, my family, and about the church. Only when I do something wrong or go somewhere I shouldn't do I feel the spirit slip away from me as a warning that I should change something. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, and is led by God through prophets and apostles. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book and was translated by Joseph Smith. I know that a person can be happier in life by following the teachings of Jesus and trying to follow his example.

How I live my faith

Each day I pray to Heavenly Father to thank him for the blessings in my life. I also ask him to bless me, my family, and others. Each morning I read scriptures and the lessons for what will be taught in church. In my ward I serve as the Sunday School president, so I make sure that the sunday school classes for the youth and adults have teachers that are prepared to teach. The rest of the time, I try to follow God's commandments. At work I am honest in my dealings, and I try to be the nicest, most helpful person in the office. I don't like to talk negatively about other people at work and I try to be one of the hardest working people in the engineering group. At home my wife and I try to teach our children how to be good people, and how to make good decisions. We try hard to protect them from bad influences from TV and movies. We like to take them outside to enjoy the world around us, and we also help them learn the importance of enduring through hard work.
