Hi I'm Dave

I am a 12th generation Californian that loves life and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love my beautiful wife, she is my best friend. Family means everything to me. I enjoy playing golf year round, skiing, and traveling and spending time with friends. I own a Wealth Management and Investment Advisory Firm in the Bay Area and have great clients. My wife has unprofessionally diagnosed me as ADD...

Why I am a Mormon

There are two reasons I am a Mormon. The first reason is, I have a deep seated testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "by their fruits she shall know them". One of the fruits of Mormonism is the Book of Mormon. I have read and studied this Book along with the Bible over the years and have found it to spiritually lift me up and make me a better person. It testifies of the Savior and his role in our lives. It gives me a vast understanding of who I am and the purpose of life. After reading the Book of Mormon and praying about its divine authenticity, I came away with a measure of knowledge that no person can ever take away from me. I do know this book to be true. No person could ever write this book. The book is true. The second reason I am a Mormon is because it makes me happy and fills my soul with peace. I believe God wants us to help one another find Him. The Church gives me the perfect vehicle. It gives me the knowledge, opportunity, and resource to develop my faith, improve, and grow closer to my Father in Heaven. The Gospel helps me help others.

How I live my faith

If the truth be known, sometimes, I wish the Book of Mormon and the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ were not true. It would be so much easier to follow my own worldly instincts. I would travel, play golf, pursue hobbies, etc. Instead I feel drawn to try to abide by God's precepts and the covenants I have made to Him. With joy I attend church, work in church callings, and as our Savior did, reach out to those less fortunate than myself. I do not believe a person can really find their self and understand who they are without giving of their self. It is true, when the Bible, says the more you "lose" yourself in the service of others the more you will "find" yourself. I not only enjoy my work with my many great friends at church, I also enjoy working on the Board of Directors of a civic non-profit organization. Serving, Loving others, making new Friends, and helping those in need are all ways I give back to God for his tender mercies. I am a long way from perfect, but know my Heavenly Father will always comfort and assist me in my own times of trial as I try to help him and his other children along life's path.
