Hi I'm David

I'm a Husband, Father, Police Officer, Business Owner and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married now for 15 years and have five wonderful children. I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by my wife when we were dating; I was about 19 years old. I never grew up in a practicing religious home. I went through the normal feelings about the church like worrying about what my friends or family would think if I became a 'Mormon'...but it didn't matter because I've learned that what matters is my relationship with God and my willingness to follow His Son, Jesus Christ. I'm a husband, father, police officer, and small business owner....I'm really just an average guy that believes in God and Jesus Christ and wishes to follow them in faith with a hope of eternal life someday with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I pretty well answered in my 'about me' section. It doesn't matter what title is attached to my religion but more importantly that I'm a Christian and have decided to follow Jesus Christ, be baptized and become a member of His true living church on the earth today. I believe, with all my heart, that God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God often times, in the Bible, called young or humble or unlearned boys or men to be his prophets. Because he is the same always; I believe that he loves us so much, as any parent would, and he called a boy prophet in our times to restore all the missing things from his gospel so that we have the opportunity to exercise our faith and follow his commandments. Because of these things, I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His true complete church on the earth today; it contains the fullness of His gospel.

How I live my faith

I've never turned down a call to serve from the Bishop. I know that God reveals to the Bishop whom should be called in specific callings. I have served as a primary teacher, young mens secretary, counselor in the elder's quorum, and currently serve as a counselor in the young mens where I have the privilege of rubbing shoulders with fine young men that are examples to me of all that is good as they magnify their priesthood and consistently show how Christ like they are.
