Hi I'm Meredith

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife and new mother. I grew up in Southern California, and after attending college in Utah, serving a mission in Costa Rica, and living for a year in Nevada, I am back in Orange County, this time for the long haul. I love my family. I am dazzled with the daily task of watching my son grow and nurturing this young family I'm a part of. I studied English Literature in college. I became especially addicted to the Victorian and Romantic eras of poetry. I dabble in writing, photography, music, reading, and a teensy bit in running. My family are my closest and dearest companions.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents began my religious education on Day #1. I was baptized a member of the LDS church at age 8 and raised to be Mormon. When I was a teenager I knelt to pray and ask Heavenly Father if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true; I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a habit for me. Before I even finished the prayer I had my very simple answer: I already knew it was. I always had, and I always will.

How I live my faith

I am happy to devote time to help organize recreational and service activities for the Women's Organization at church. Over the years I have enjoyed participating in other ways such as teaching lessons on Sundays, leading the women, directing the church choir.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

In Biblical times the faithful needed Moses, Noah, Adam, and other prophets to guide them, and we need a current prophet to guide us. God does not want us to be confused and lost while we aren't living in his presence. I believe that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet of God alive today. I know it's a blessing to be able to hear his wisdom, because it is God's wisdom. I know I can trust him. Show more Show less
