Hi I'm Nate Scoffield

HI. my name is Nate Scoffield. I'm a convert to the Mormon church. I represent him as a missionary in Riverside CA I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Nate, I grew up in Ogden Utah and didn't know what a mormon was until i was 14. which is pretty ironic i guess. I LOVE to be outside and do outside things! such as going to parks and playing sports, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, and most of all snowmobiling! it's my favorite thing in the world. I love my family more than anything and i'm super super glad that i have a loving mother and step father. i also have a loving father and step mother! wow what an opportunity! i have an older brother and an older sister and they are amazing. we love to laugh together! I love to meet people and see their smiling faces because smiling is one of my favorite things to do! with my knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ that i have gained it gives me great reason to smile with all of my heart at all times!

Why I am a Mormon

when i was 14 years old i was pretty lost in life and really wasn't sure what i was doing here on this earth. Do to family circumstances and the peers i had in my life, i really didn't have much to look to and didn't really know what was good and what was bad. i began to become very interested in finding more to life. My Heavenly Father was totally aware of this i am convinced because at that time he started to put some of the best people I've ever met into my life. It started with my best friend from elementary school. and it also involved a very special girl and her family which were members of the church. they showed me the way and brought me to the Mormon church and from the very beginning i felt as if i was back home! The people in the church seemed to have something that my life was lacking tremendously! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is Gods kingdom on this earth today! I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and that in and through his merits and mercies i will return to live with my Father in Heaven again. The Church has taught me what Jesus Christ taught his disciples a couple thousand years ago. and that as i follow the commandments and live my life according to the example that Christ gave us when he was here i will live happily forever with my eternal family in the presence of God forever. I love the plan the God has given us. I am currently on a full time mission in Riverside California teaching people about the things that the missionaries and my friends taught me 5 years ago. I've never done anything in my life that has been more rewarding and faith promoting in my life! I will never regret my decision to serve my Heavenly Father. My faith in Jesus Christ is something that nobody will ever take away from me and i will be active in his church here on this earth until the day that i die, which is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it with others. Christ taught us to share the gospel in every situation. my mission has taught me to do that. though many will reject it and actually hate you for doing so, it will only strengthen your testimony and leave a strong impression on those who don't know about Christ.I also follow the commandments that God has given us. through our obedience to our Father in Heaven we will receive great blessings! I strive for attributes such as faith, virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, brotherly kindness, godliness, charity, humility and diligence. my life was once scattered but through reading the scriptures and listening to God's servants on this earth today my life has been gathered and has given me purpose! I now know what i'm shooting for in life and i have been able to make goals to help me accomplish those things. smile at everybody! it will make them smile too and sooner or later the whole town will be smiling! :) put your family before the world and put God in charge of your family and ultimately we can become consecrated to the Lord which will bring more happiness to your life than any other thing! Life with the Gospel will bring Eternal happiness and life without it will only bring temporary happiness that will end and lead to unhappiness and torment.. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's kingdom on earth and has all the truths and priesthood authority to perform the duties of God in preparing for the second coming of our Lord and Savior even Jesus Christ. this is my testimony and if you want to learn for yourself flag down the two guys with white shirts and ties and black tags riding bikes wearing goofy looking helmets! :)

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Nate Scoffield
Marriage between a man and a woman is ordained of God. When we are married we have the opportunity to be with our spouse forever and be bound together for eternity. When us as members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints enter the temple with our spouse and are married by the authority of god, we make specific covenants or promises with God and our spouse that we will do everything in our power to make the marriage last forever! this is my greatest excitement in my life that i get to be with the woman whom i love forever. that i will be able to continue to grow my love and respect for her. my greatest joys in life will most definitely be with my eternal companion Show more Show less
