Hi I'm Kaileigh Culotta

I love dance, cheerleading, and gymastics. I am currently serving a Spanish speaking mission in Provo, Utah, and I´m a Mormon!

About Me

Hi! I’m Kaileigh. I am on a mission right now in Provo, Utah speaking Español! I love it so much. I had the wonderful opportunity of being trained for my mission in Mexico City, Mexico. I was born and raised in Mississippi and I went to school at The University of Southern Mississippi. I studied broadcast journalism and Spanish. I hope to be lucky enough one day to pursue something in the broadcasting field! I am the oldest of five children with outstanding parents. I love to dance, sing, write and play the piano. Other than the Gospel, my favorite things in life include my family, music, and dancing (ballet). I have a wonderful family that loves missionary work like I do! My little sister is serving in Japan at this very moment! I love the gospel with all of my heart and know that every ounce of it is true. I wish everybody knew about it and could be as blessed as I am. That is why I am on a mission. It excites me to help invite others to come unto Christ. I love sharing my testimony and being an instrument in Heavenly Father´s hands! My testimony and knowledge of the incredible Gospel truly is the foundation of everything I do and who I am. My name is Kaileigh (Hermana Culotta), I am a full-time missionary, and I am proud to be a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, my parents and grandparents and all of my family being members, but that is not why I am a member of the church. Even though the Gospel and strong testimonies surrounded me, I still had to find my testimony for myself and not rely on others. I am a Mormon because I know the words from the Book of Mormon are true. I know that whoever can get their hands on that book that has a contrite heart and spirit , truly wants an answer, and prays to our God, Heavenly Father, that they will get an answer that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church upon the earth and that the Book of Mormon is the most real, treasured book upon the face of this planet. I also had a strong, special father that joined the church at nineteen years old, and by faith served a full-time mission in the only one short year later. My father’s faith and testimony alone showed me that there had to be something special about this church and the principles it teaches. I know that the Prophet we have is called by God and that his words are Heavenly Father’s words. I am so grateful to have the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation and to have the assurance and hope of life after death. To know Heavenly Father loves me individually and knows who I am is truly humbling. I am a Mormon because I know the Gospel teachings are true, real and everything I need and want in this life. All of my questions are answered. I know the LDS church is directed by Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I think I show my faith by serving a full-time mission and leaving everything at home in the Lord´s hands. I live my faith by reading my scriptures daily, praying to my Heavenly Father, try to give daily to service to others, and every day try to keep myself worthy and clean (mentally and spiritually) to be married in the Temple. Maintaining and keeping our covenants we make with Heavenly Father is also a way to live by faith. I think it is so important to realize the importance and power of faith and how if we have just the tiniest amount Heavenly Father will bless us far beyond we can comprehend.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Kaileigh Culotta
I love this question because I had to find out personally for myself if Heavenly Father knows me and how I could be sure He was there for me. I had always been taught growing up that Heavenly Father was real and that He lives. I was taught that I can have a close and personal relationship with Him. I got older, and still went with what Primary teachers, my parents, and family told me. It wasn´t until recently when I truly came to know and understand that I know my Heavenly Father, He knows me, and that He lives. I knelt down in an out-loud prayer and asked Heavenly Father in faith these 5 questions: 1) Heavenly Father, do you even exist? Are you really there? 2) Heavenly Father, are you really my Father? 3) Do you know me? Do you know everything about me? 4) Do you know what I feel and think? Do you know what I am going through when times are tough or when times are great? 5) Heavenly Father, do you love me? After asking these questions in a sincere, humble prayer I received answers and the confirmation that Heavenly Father does live. He is there. He loves each of us far more than we could ever imagine or comprehend. He knows us personally and individually, better than we know ourselves. He knows how we feel, for He sent His son to the earth to feel the pains and sufferings and challenges every person experiences. Show more Show less

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Kaileigh Culotta
The Book of Mormon is another wonderful and true testament and witness of Jesus Christ. Just like the Bible, the Book of Mormon is a collection of the words of the ancient prophets. These prophets were on the earth in the American continent. The prophets recorded many miracles, and teachings of Jesus Christ, testifying of His life on earth, Atonement, and Resurrection. We are promised that if we read this incredible book and pray to know if it is true that we can know by the power of the Holy Ghost that the words in The Book of Mormon are the words of God. Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Kaileigh Culotta
Members of The Church or Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have the wonderful opportunity to serve a mission if they have kept themselves spiritually and physically clean and if they have the desire to serve. Young men in the church usually serve missions at the age of 18 and young women have the option of serving a mission at 19 years old. Even senior-aged couples can have the joy in a mission call! Those who choose to serve devote their lives for 18 months (girls)- 2 years (boys) in inviting others to come unto Christ. They also strongly focus on serving others and helping anyone in need. Missionaries are invited to serve from all over the world, and missionaries from the LDS church are sent to nearly every end of the earth. While missionaries serve they are ambassadors and representatives of the Lord. Show more Show less
