Hi I'm Michelle

I LOVE Oklahoma! I enjoy riding my bike in a skirt! And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I guess I'm your "typical" Mormon, I lived in Utah all my life and was raised by parents who were both active in the church. I haven't always made the best decisions in my life, but of course I always had the things I was taught from a young age to fall back on. Honestly, I don't know where I would be in my life without that, and I thank God every day for it. So many people don't have the opportunity to grow up in such a stable environment. I truly admire those who make good choices despite their background; I don't know if I could. It's pretty much impossible to put into words the happiness the gospel gives me. And I've seen the gospel really change people's lives when they open their hearts and accept it. My brother and father both set the example for me by serving full time missions. I never imagined that I too would serve a mission but here I am in OKC, and it's the best decision I've ever made in my life! It's such a privilege to be even a small part of the light I've seen come into other's lives as they draw closer to their Savior. I in turn do all I can to live my life in harmony with the gospel of Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

That's a HUGE question, but the simple answer is that it has made me happier than anything else. And I know that it brings everyone that same happiness, and of course the challenge of being a missionary is helping people to come to that understanding. When people are willing to give it a shot, to study it out, they come to know as I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and that Joseph Smith restored it in its fulness. All we as missionaries do is invite people to find that out for themselves, and they can choose to act upon that knowledge or not as they will.

How I live my faith

My faith is my life 24/7 right now as a missionary, and beyond that I intend to remain active and serve in whatever capacity I am called to in the future. I'm not going to attain perfection anytime soon, but when I do make mistakes, I will do all I can to make them right and move forward. I will always strive to live worthy of the covenants I have made and will make in the temple. I especially want to carry and maintain the spirit of missionary work with me for the rest of my life, to stay motivated to share the gospel with anyone and everyone! Of course all of this can be summed up by saying that I want to live my life in as Christ-like a way as I possibly can.
