Hi I'm Cassie

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I love live theater and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving the Lord full-time in the Spain Málaga mission. In high school, I loved participating in plays and in choir. I love to read and hold photoshoots with friends. My dream in life is to find the man of my dreams, then have beautiful babies, and also to become an elementary school librarian. I've grown up in the great Pacific Northwest, and it is where I would love to raise my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me a happier person. I am happy when I am serving others. I am happy when I read and study the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I am happy when I attend my weekly church meetings. I am happy when I abstain from partaking of drugs and alcohol even though others around me try to convince me that I should participate. I am happy when I listen to and heed the Prophet's latter-day counsel. I know I have a Heavenly Father who loves me. I know that the Savior suffered and died for my sins. I know that after this life here on earth, that I can be with my family forever. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true testament of Jesus Christ and that Joseph Smith restored the Lord's gospel in these latter days. Knowing all of these things make me happy, and I am not ashamed or timid to say that I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Currently, I serve the Lord as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Málaga, Spain.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christians! The very core and center of our faith is Jesus Christ as the head of our Church. We know that he is the only perfect Man who has ever walked the earth. He is the living Son of the living God. Through His atoning sacrifice for all men, we may repent and become perfect through Him. We pray and worship in the name of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and witnesses of His divinity, His life, and His Atonement. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, our very name that we identify ourselves by is a constant reminder to not only others but to ourselves that our lives are centered around Christ. Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Mormons believe that all of God's children should have a chance to learn about, become members of, and receive all the blessings associated with the Lord's true gospel. We believe that this includes His children that were not alive when the Gospel was on the earth or those who died without having the opportunity to join Christ's church. Through proxy baptism in the Lord's house the temple, we can give the opportunity to those who have died to become members of the Church and to partake of all the blessings associated with it. When these baptisms occur, they are performed by a living person on behalf of one who is deceased. Baptisms for the dead are performed by worthy Church members in temples all around the world.
