Hi I'm Kyler

I'm a freakin' Mormon, and I love it!

About Me

I am really into politics which is why I am just finishing up my degree in political science. I am planning on going to get a masters degree in public administration. I like to believe I am moderate, but I know that I lean more to the right on most issues, but right now I am sick of both parties not being willing to compromise. I think that we need some major reform in Washington D.C. Who knows maybe I'll be there some day!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it feels good. I'll be straight up with you being a Mormon is hard, because we try and follow Christ. The Bible says that "strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life" and I can tell you that it is hard to stay on that path, but it is worth it. I am a Mormon because I love Jesus Christ, and I feel like being a Mormon has strengthened my relationship with Him! I could be out wasting my life away having meaningless sex and melting my mind with drugs, but I prefer to be building a relationship with Christ. Being a Mormon is awesome... I hope that if you read this you can understand that God loves each one of us (even those sleazeball politicians running Washington). Being a Mormon does not mean you have to give up who you are. God wants us to be ourselves and love life, and the best way to love life is to love Christ. You know now that I think about it, being a Mormon isn't that tough... yes, we have to keep the commandments, but if you are following Christ then God is on your side, which makes being a Mormon kinda easy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith just like any other person. I don't have to go out and pray really loud in a football stadium, I don't have to be on a street corner shouting "the end of the world is near", and I don't have to drink any kool-aid. Mormons are mostly normal (I mean I'll be honest we have some weirdos, but most the people are great). It is a faith that anyone can live. I live my faith by trying to be a good person in my community. I live my faith day by day, task by task, homework assignment by homework assignment. I know how great God is and that keeps me going.
