Hi I'm Dan

I'm a transplanted Californian currently living in Michigan. I drive a truck for a living and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being with my family, reading and serving in my church. I love the beauty of Northern Michigan, especially the bright, rich colors of fall. I have a wonderful wife, three beautiful children and a precious granddaughter.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in my very early 20's I gained employment with a man who was a latter day saint. As he would share with me his beliefs, especially of what latter day saints call the "plan of salvation", my heart swelled and I knew that I had found my home again. I say again, because of our belief in a preexistence, or a life before we came to this earth. As that doctrine was explained to me I cannot begin to describe the feelings that came to my heart. It felt comforting to me. Shortly thereafter I became a member of this church and have drawn steadily closer to my Savior Jesus Christ each day.

How I live my faith

I have come to love the Holy Scriptures and how they strengthen and support each other. You see, the latter day saints believe in the Holy Bible along with the Book of Mormon and other scriptures that make clearer the doctrines of salvation. More than anything, they teach and testify of the Savior of mankind Jesus Christ. I strive each day to emulate His teachings and to live as he did. I attend church each Sunday and strive to fulfill my calling in the church to the very best of my ability. By so doing, I have found peace in my home and among my family. I have been able to establish contact with some of the inmates at a local state prison and enjoy being able to write and visit with them. They seem to appreciate the contact and attention. We are both uplifted and have become fellow seekers of the Lord's forgiveness and mercy.
