Hi I'm Kaytlen

I was born and raised in Boise, ID. I graduated in Early Childhood Education, taught 2nd grade and am a stay at home mom.

About Me

I am the sixth of ten kids and am often called the oldest of the five youngest. I graduated with my degree in Early Childhood Education and taught 2nd grade for a year. I am now a stay-at-home Mom with one little boy. My husband and I enjoy going on walks together and playing lots of board games. I also play the piano and I find that it is one of my favorite ways to release stress. Sunshine yellow is my favorite color because it makes me think of the sun, beautiful summer days, and of Christ. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to share my testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ with others. I want them to know the joy and peace that can come from accepting our Savior into our hearts.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the LDS church. It's something that has been a part of my life since I was born. When I was about 8 I went through some really tough things and it would have been really easy for me to turn against God and ask Him, "why are you doing this and why can't everything be all better." At times I did ask this but that didn't help me. I had a really hard time letting go of these hardships. Because I was able to let go and turn to Jesus Christ for healing, I have gained a personal testimony of the Atonement. Jesus Christ is my Savior and he died for me that I may return to my Heavenly Father's Kingdom. I know that I am a Daughter of God and that my big brother is there for me. He knows what I've been through as I've been through and he is there to put his arms around me. He knows I can do it. I know that the gospel is true and that God really does strengthen us and there is a rhyme and reason to everything in this world. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I know that I am here on this earth for a reason. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I am a student at Brigham Young University where most people would say it is easy to be a mormon. However, I find that it is easy to slip into slacking because of the easiness of the way. Each day I find I have to put forth the effort to come closer to Christ. I need to prayer sincerely, study the scriptures that I may find answers to my prayers and find things that I may learn and grow from. Each week, I must not just attend church but go with the purpose of worshiping, learning, and growing. I live my faith in every action that I do. I make mistakes but I know that with the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I have the blessed opportunity to repent and become a better person. Each moment I make the decision of where my life will go and how I will live my faith.
