She decided to join the Church even with her family's disapproval. we all hope some day all of our family members will have the change to listen and to accept the restore gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

To me, to be a mormon is to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. To me that means everything, my dreams, my future, my career, my family, my hey to happiness, my only hope in this Life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive to life the best I can, even with my struggles and weaknesses I often see angels, people, that are there to support me and to lift me up. I put effort in been friendly to others and to find ways to share the wonderful truths that so abundantly and selflessly had been given to me.

Who was Joseph Smith?

David
He is a prophet of God. God always call prophets. It is not rare that God called a prophet today, neither that people would not believe in them, since we all have the ability to choose, people have rejected the prophets before as well. The good news is that by asking God in pray we can all came to the knowledge of his works and of his prophets Show more Show less

Why did your church previously practice plural marriage (polygamy)?

David
I think that in order to understand plural marriage we must first take in account that we do not know all things, we know that God let other in the past even prophets to practice this, such as Abraham and David. In today's world it is even harder to grasp such idea, since marriage and the use of the powers of procreation (sex) are use in many denigrating manners as part of jokes, personal gain and pleasure and even as a business or public entertainment. In order to understand or just simply accept plural marriage as a matter of fact. we must first gain a knowledge or a testimony that marriage is and was stablished by God, that is sacred were married man and woman can utilize their powers of procreation to bring offsprings and strengthen their marriage and relationship. I do have my personal opinions of why do the Lord has allow this on times, i will share them briefly: 1- to Establish the House of Israel and bring more offspring among the house in which more children of our heavenly father can grow in the gospel grounds. 2- Often times during history the number of woman had been far larger than the number of man, and even far more than the number of good, responsible and worthy mans that hold the priesthood of God. and all those women also deserve the right to be married to a worthy priesthood holder that will walk her towards exaltation.
