Hi I'm Spencer

im a college student, brother, rock climber, and I'm Mormon

About Me

I'm a college student who is studying microbiology. I love learning about how molecules interact to allow our bodies to function. I have worked with severely handicapped elementary students and loved seeing their innocence and their parents determination to love them and sacrifice for them. I am married to the love of my life, which is a witness to me that miracles still happen. I struggle to balance all the things going on in my life, but find a guiding and organizing hand In the heavens helping me out.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of a very faithful young Christian. His mother passed away when he was five years old of cancer. His father was hardened by the war and drank his life away. This young man stood for principles of integrity and honesty. He had a strong backbone, either because he was a red head or because of the circumstances of his life. He sought out truth and sacrificed everything he had to travel to Italy and serve and teach others for two years. I am who I am because of the faith of my father. He has always been an example of righteousness. He showed me through his example how Christ would act. He is loyal to his wife, my mother. As I have watched my father live his life as a witness of our savior Jesus Christ, I have learned what I must do. I am not the man I could be or should be but know that Christ accepts me. I know that God loves me more than my earthly father even. He is involved in my life. I am a Mormon because I know God lives. The Bible is the word of God and is a sacred and Holy text of scripture. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and testifies of the bringing back of the authority of God here on earth, to baptize and bind families together after this life. Christ lives and loves me. I need him everyday and that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I tutor elementary students after school trying to make learning fun. My wife and I teach the 3 to 4 year old children at church. They are a handful but we love seeing them laugh and learn about our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ.
