Why I am a Mormon

During my teenage years I yearned for my own knowledge. I have a testimony and I know that Christ lives and that He suffered for my sins. I know that through Him I can be sanctified and live with Him and His Father and my family for all eternity. i learned this wonderful truth through the simple guidance of the spirit. It bears witness of truth and through those gentle inspirations little by little my testimony grew and i now know that it is true. My testimony is simple, I know my savior Lives and He loves me, He has sent me to my family here on earth to learn of Him and follow Him. I am not perfect, but I know that as I follow the commandments, and follow what I know to be true I find true happiness that lasts. I know that there is a living prophet here on the earth today, and I know he is called of God, to preach the will of God. His name is Thomas S. Monson. Jesus Christs original church that he established in the New Testament times is here on the earth today. It was restored through a prophet named Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God as is the Bible, I love these books. The Book of Mormon is packed with truths that the whole world needs! I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins so when I slip up he can bring me up. This is where I am happy nowhere else have I found the same happiness. Anyone who reads this know that if they want to find the happiness that I have found I would suggest finding a copy of the Book of Mormon and going to the introduction and reading it and then doing as it says in the last two paragraphs. Ask God if it is true and if it is true you will feel it by the Spirit. If you do this you will find that it is true. I left on my mission not knowing if I would ever see my grandparents in this life again, but I know I will see them in the next. and our joy will be great together with my Family!!

How I live my faith

Everyday I get up and kiss my wife and tell her how much she means to me. and I study my scriptures often. I pursue my life with an attitude of gratitude with the hope that others will see the happiness in recognizing their blessings. Im trying to be like Jesus in all that i do. he showed the perfect example.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Cody M. Clinger
everyone will become immortal, because of the saviors resurrection on the third day he broke the bands of death so that we may too break tohe bands of death, when we die we will become immortal after the resurrection, the difference between immortality and eternal life, eternal life means you will live eternally with our Father in Heaven, and in order to do that we must try to be perfect as he is perfect, and that is only possible through his son Jesus christ and his atoneing sacrifice. what a wonderful plan our heavenly father has for us, he has given his son Jesus Christ to die for us and to make it possible for us to live with both of them again together with our families forever! What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Cody M. Clinger
I believe the Bible is the word of God, the Book of mormon and the bible go hand in hand in testifying to the world that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and that there is no other way nor means whereby man can be saved except through him and his redeeming blood. I recently have been reading in the New Testiment and the Teachings and Miracles done by our Savior Jesus Christ are so wonderful, they strike me with awe every time I study them. I am so glad that through the years God has preserved his Holy scriptures for us to study and learn from. I know if we do so we will come closer to our Heavenly Father Show more Show less
