Hi I'm Carl

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Carl. I have been a logger since I was 15 years old. I also enjoy building mechanical things in my shop in my spare time. I grew up in a dysfunctional family, so religion was not part of my up-bringing. When I was younger, and before I was baptized, I was preoccupied with death, having had more than my share of close calls. I worried about what would happen after you died. Not having a religious background, I was more than a little concerned. I remember well, the veil of fear being lifted from me as the missionaries taught me the gospel. I no longer have those feelings of fear about death or do I dwell on the subject much in my mind. I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 36 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am grateful for the missionaries that taught me the gospel and for the peace of mind the gospel brings to me in knowing where I come from and what the purpose of life is, and where we go when we leave this life.

How I live my faith

I have had various callings in the Church which have helped me to grow spiritually. I enjoy reading my scriptures along with reading a lot of various other books, such as autobiographies and such. I try to say my prayers on a regular basis and go to Church every Sunday. I try to be the example that the Savior would have me be to those I associate with.
