Hi I'm Tristan

I am a wife, mother of three, Type 1 diabetic living in California. I love writing and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a passion for education, reading, writing, and teaching. My love for teaching was discovered at an early age when I was assigned as a peer tutor to younger students struggling with reading. From then on the pathway to professional educator was paved with Child Development classes and practicum experiences as early as high school. I graduated with honors from one of Utah's best universities with a prestigious education program. After a few short years as an Elementary and Special Education teacher, I left the profession to raise my children. This is where my skills as an educator are really put to use. Especially the creative problem solving of Special Education. I am an avid blogger where I share stories of my dream life as a wife and mother. Writing is my other favorite passion in life. I have an unquenchable desire to record life's lessons in story form.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be raised a Mormon. I continue to follow the gospel of Jesus Christ because I have received my own witness from Heavenly Father that it's true. The gospel brings happiness and peace in my life. My faith is tested with the challenges of this life but I am always blessed along the way. There is no doubt in my mind that my Savior knows me personally and always has my best interest in mind. When I freely hand my will over to Him miracles happen.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving others. Serving helps me feel closer to the Savior as I develop a Christlike love for others. Currently I am enjoying working with the children in my congregation. I have worked closely with the missionaries in my area and found some of my best friends in those I have served. I have taught different gospel classes over the years. Next to service, blogging is my favorite way to live my faith out loud. I enjoy writing and frequently share experiences that strengthen my faith.
