Hi I'm Jorge

I grew up in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. I'm a student. I am a Mormon.

About Me

If there is anything worthwhile that I can tell you about me is that I love my family. I believe that the secret of happiness and success in this life lays upon the walls of a person's home, therefore, I'm always striving to be a better son, brother, and friend. Besides that, I love soccer... I could play that sport everyday all day, but even though I have so much passion for this sport, I love trying new ones, wakeboarding being at the top of my newest sports. I also enjoy doing music. I grew up studying at a conservatory of music in Santa Cruz, Bolivia where I was born and raised. I learned how to play the piano, the guitar and other instruments until the time I graduated from high school. I got a degree in music theory and piano performance. Later on, I decided that I was not going to pursue music as my source of income, but rather I would become and chemical engineer. My parents are both engineers, and taught me how to love math, physics and chemistry. Of course, having less than an "A" in any of those subjects was unacceptable in my family; hence, hard work became an important part of my personality even from an early age. Once I'm able to get my bachelors in chemical engineering, I plan to go into the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that Jesus Christ, my Savior, lives. I know He lives because I have felt the power of his atoning sacrifice in my life. I also believe that Jesus Christ is not a God of confusion, therefore, If He really was alive, he would have to be personally guiding his people, his church. Because He loves us, Jesus Christ speaks to prophets and apostles today providing us an unchangeable Gospel that if followed closely, will lead us to be successful people and to everlasting happiness. The biggest blessing that I have of being a Mormon is most definitely the knowledge that families are meant to be eternal. I also love the Book of Mormon. That book is a living testimony that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the whole world.

How I live my faith

I read the scriptures, pray and pay attention to the words of the living prophets. I try to be a good influence to the people around me. I try to share what I know about the Gospel by living the Gospel the best I can. Of course I've fallen short many times but I've always thank goodness we can repent and do better next time.
